South Central India Network for Development Alternatives (SCINDeA)
South Central India Network for Development Alternatives (SCINDeA) is a network of 14 field-based voluntary organizations that are geographically located in the South Central Region of the country and working in the Chitoor District of Andhra Pradesh, Kolar and Ramnagara Districts of Karnataka, and 10 Districts in Tamil Nadu. The network has been concerned with the development initiatives for the past 20 years. SCINDeA works in the three states—Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka—covering a total of 15 districts, 46 blocks, 36 taluks, 206 panchayats, 491 villages, and a population of 1,389,751. All the programs of SCINDeA are managed through its secretariat located at Yelagiri Hills, Vellore District, in Tamil Nadu, South India.
Fair Climate Network (FCN)
FCN is an international platform that tries to project the local environmental framework on climate change as experienced by the rural poor negatively affected by erratic and unpredictable weather patterns. FCN is an open and welcoming network. 125 persons, comprising development workers, climate change activists, environmentalists, scientists, and other professionals from India and abroad, have gotten together to form the Fair Climate Network. They represent 29 grassroots NGOs who work with the rural poor and 18 support organizations. 15 Network members participate in their individual capacity.
Connecting Dreams Foundation (CDF)
Connecting Dreams Foundation (CDF) is a non-profit foundation registered and licensed under section 25 of the Companies Act, 1956, Government of India. The mandate of CDF is to architect social transformational interventions and campaigns using technology that creates positive impact across the globe. Connecting Dreams Foundation aims to empower youth and women in rural India through connectivity and entrepreneurship. Intuit India
Intuit India is a fully owned subsidiary of Intuit Inc. USA. Located in the southern city of Bangalore (also known as the Silicon Valley of India), the India office was started in April 2005. Currently it has around more than 500 employees. It is one of the two development centers of Intuit outside the USA, along with Intuit Canada. A 26 July 2007 Techwhack article (among others) said Intuit-India would expand in international markets, including India, China, Russia, and Brazil. Nilesh Thakker, country manager for India, said there was huge opportunity in these nations. Intuit India is working on point-of-sale software for the Indian market and considering hosted versions of products in India, including online banking services for banks. Intuit’s first venture in the Asia–Pacific region, working with individuals and small businesses to develop home–grown solutions for Indian challenges
NABARD Bangalore
NABARD came into existence on 12 July 1982 by transferring the agricultural credit functions of the RBI and refinance functions of the then Agricultural Refinance and Development Corporation (ARDC). It was dedicated to the service of the nation by the late Prime Minister Smt. Indira Gandhi on 05 November 1982. Set up with an initial capital of Rs. 100 crore, its paid-up capital stood at Rs. 5,000 crore as of 31 March 2016. Consequent to the revision in the composition of share capital between the Government of India and the RBI, the Government of India today holds Rs. 4,980 crore (99.60%), while the Reserve Bank of India holds Rs. 20.00 crore (0.40%). NABARD promotes sustainable and equitable agriculture and rural prosperity through effective credit support, related services, institution development, and other innovative initiatives.
